Academy of Makeup and Wig Design

Annie Hardt is a wig artist currently based in Las Vegas. She has a bachelors degree in Theatrical Design and Technology and during her time in school, she started working with wigs and makeup and has since gone on to work professionally at multiple theaters, including her current job at Cirque du Soleil's Beatles Love. 

 

She has designed many large scale musicals at Tuacahn Center for the Arts including Prince of Egypt, Matilda, Newsies and more.

 

Her love of wig cages started a couple of years ago when designing wigs for a production of Cinderella required some unique, large hairstyles. There are very few resources on wig cages, so, through lots of trial and error, she created her own formula and has been hooked on wig cages ever since.

 

Now she hopes to use her knowledge and skill set to create one-of-a-kind wigs and to share what she has learned with her fellow wig and hair artists.
